RDAV has released its GP VMO Contract Guideline which provides information on what is considered a fair remuneration package for GP VMOs. This guideline recognises that there are existing arrangements, that have increased/indexed over time, in place and is aimed to provide guidance for contract negotiations, particularly to new GP VMOs.
We listen to our members and push for results.
RDAV has three working groups that provide advice and advocacy on areas of need: Maternity Services, Mental Health and GP VMO
RDAV develops policy positions on issues important to rural doctors. Special efforts are required to redress the inequities in health outcomes that exist for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
RDAV provides support to individuals and groups of GP VMOs in their contract negotiations with the local health districts.
Ensuring rural doctors are well supported and cared for while they care for others, is core to the service RDAA provides. RDAA Member Assistance Support - through Access EAP.
